One of my favorite bloggers in the online chronic illness community, Duncan Cross' debut novel is a fast, funny (and sometimes very sad) read. The protagonist, Wesley, goes from being a healthy teenager to one coping with a challenging diagnosis and extremely challenging symptoms. I can't really imagine a harder experience to go through as a teenager than pooping myself in class. (I threw up on my desk in AP calculus when my teacher repeatedly ignored my raised hand as I desperately waved it aro [...]

Must-read for chronic readers. I was thoroughly entertained. It's a captivating coming of age story that feels very real. I liked how it's on one hand funny, on the other deeply emotional.
