Blair got a first class college education, paid for by his father, in exchange for a painful arrangement to pay his father back by working for him so his father could make money on his investment in his own son. The task Mr. Montague assigns to Blair sends him back to the hell of his teenaged years in Newton, Montana, and right back into the world still inhabited by his worst enemy, Royal. Royal was a bully of the worst sort who made Blair’s life hell at age 16. The only saving grace for Blair [...]
2.5 StarsI'm really disappointed by this book. What started out as a four star book somewhere towards the end it became a three star or a 2.5 star. Andrew Grey books are a hit or miss for me. When I read the blurb and saw the sexy cover (yes I'm a sucker for covers) I knew I had to read this one. The story had everything I like Sexy Cowboys with pure masculinity oozing all over the place. ex marine, ranch hand, and what seem like a good story line It was hard to continue to keep focus and contin [...]
Bully For You!Andrew Grey is having a very busy--and high quality--year, and this book does nothing to change that fact. A stand-alone at this time, Saving Faithless Creek is the author's semi-revenge on bullies, since he was bullied when he was young. I say semi-revenge because as it turns out, the apparent bully in this case is not what he seems, and the real bully has been standing in front of our main protagonist's eyes for a very, very long time.In this case, the main protagonist is Blair M [...]
OK,I'm a sucker for stories that involve redemptiond when I read the blurb for this one,I knew I just had to read it. Story of redemption complete with cowboys? Count me inDedication from A. Grey: To everyone who has ever been bullied. I was bullied myself when I was in school, and I wanted to write a story about redemption because I hope it’s possible that bullies can grow up to be like Royal.I'm just going to jump straight to the point:Blair didn’t let him off the hook so easily. “You te [...]
A Joyfully Jay review. 4.5 starsAndrew Grey paints gorgeous word pictures of beautiful lands and he does so once again in this novel. Wide vistas surrounded by his poetic phrasing create the setting for this love story that had such depth and strength to it. More than just two former foes coming together, Blair and Royal must both come to terms with putting the past away, asking forgiveness, and choosing to move on. Tangled up in this already richly layered plot is the idea that being gay is not [...]
Another brilliantly written novel by Andrew Grey about a gorgeous Cowboy, Royal, who was a bully in High School and Blair, who had been bullied by Royal in High School, was a business graduate that worked for his father who was a ruthless, lying, snake of a man who continually puts his own son down, no matter what Blair did to please his father. Blair is sent out by his father to buy up some land to supposedly raise his own cattle for his many casinos he owns. Blair goes to Montana and happens u [...]
Blair and Royal are such great characters. Blair is a Vegas businessman, firmly under his casino-owner father’s thumb. Royal is a marine-turned cowboy who used to bully the smaller Blair in high school. Montana clashes with Vegas just as well as the out and proud Blair clashes with the closeted Royal. And the more we learn about Royal, the hotter the cowboy gets.Grey explores Blair’s return to Montana and his unhappy memories carefully. How much can people really change? What makes a family? [...]
Fantastic! There is nothing by Andrew that I don't love, this is no exception. Such a great story of redemption, standing up for yourself, forgiveness and love. People can change, they grow up and their views of the world are different, the way they felt changes and their feelings run deeper than they ever thought they could. Blair and Royal learn that life and people can change, and the power of love can be stronger than anything. That the person you are today is not the one you were in high sch [...]
Loved This book was about standing up for yourself and Blair did just that and seeing how his father is nothing but a bully says a lot how Blair showed his father how strong he his and he won't be bullied by his father anymore Royal being there for him shows how much he loves him all while understanding his own journey to accepting who he is going from fear bully to loveable sweet strong seat Marine cowboy with a happy ending
Blair is being used and manipulated by his father. In the process he is forced to face his worst high school fears. But nothing goes quite to plan and in the end both men are surprised at the new direction in their lives.
Blair Montague was a severely bullied teenager, to the point that his mother packed them up and moved away so that her son could feel happy and safe. Now an adult and a college graduate, his verbally and emotionally abusive father keeps a tight hold on Blair using the fact that he paid for Blair’s college to twist the knife. Now dear old dad has decided he wants to buy some land back in their hometown of Newton, Montana, and guess who daddy dearest decides needs to close the deal.Royal Masters [...]
5 Heart Review by DanEvery time I read a book with this theme, I’m transported back to high school and the guy who tormented me the most. It was always verbal, never physical like Blair Montague faced in his high school days, but what would happen if I ran into that miserable bastard all these years later?Blair Montague is the son of a casino owner in Las Vegas. His father owns several casinos, and is a total asshole. He is the sort of man who makes his assistant of twenty years address him as [...]
Saving Faithless Creek was a great romance between two men. One was the kid who bullied to cover his perceived sins the other was the one who was picked on because of his differences. This book shows the two faces and the redeemable quality of some over others and the lifetime of damage a bully can cause. Not only is it a fantastic romance it is a lesson and like all Andrew Grey's books it makes you think beyond the beautiful story to the truths and life lessons within.Blair is openly gay, loves [...]
I was provide a copy of Saving Faithless Creek in exchange for an honest review. I loved it! This was such a sweet story, I couldn't help but fall in love! Blair was my absolute favorite, I could so see myself shopping and hanging out with him!Blair has been ordered by his tyrant of a father (who he works for) to go to Montana and close a land deal for him. OMG his father is HORRIBLE! I wouldn't wish that man on my worst enemy! Once Blair gets to Montana he finds the person he has to deal with f [...]
This is a story of overcoming bullying and of seeing past the façade to find the true, vicious bully while also seeing the heart of the the loving, yet fearful ex-bully. We’ve all heard the axiom, a cheater cheats, or something along those lines. Well, most of us believe that about bullies too. As someone that knows for a fact that most of the bullies that hurt me are still just as hateful and hurtful as always, reading Saving Faithless Creek was a wonderful read. I know that there are many b [...]
Not that I’ve read a ton of Mr. Grey’s books, but to me this one was very different from the two normally series I’ve been involved in. More adult, if you will. All Blair wants its a relationship with his father, but as he gets older he’s starting to realize that it’s impossible. The man himself, for many reasons makes it that way. But one last ditch effort, to prove himself and possible to get away with a promise from the father he heads to an area he thought he never would visit again [...]
There's always two sides of a coin. Once a bully, not always a bully, sometimes there's a backstory as to why a person lashes out at someone innocent.Royal bullied Blair so bad in high school, Blair moved away after only a year of living there. Over the years Blair as learned to defend himself from guys like Royal, or at least guys like Royal used to be. Something has changed in the man that caused Blair nightmares when he was a teen. However, the true bully in this story isn't the one Blair tho [...]

I would give the book 3.5 stars. On the one hand the story is extremely predictable, you know from the beginning how it will develop and there really is not a single surprise about what happens. On the other hand the 2 main characters are very likable and I really wished they would get the happy ever after, they both definitely deserve. Even though the end is no surprise, the story is fun to read and I had a good time with this book. Whenever 2 guys get to fuck for the first time the top will sa [...]
I was lucky enough to win this book through a Love Bytes Lotto Giveaway. Thank you, Andrew Grey, for letting me choose one of your novels. This was such a wonderful book. If you enjoy reading about wicked mothers, and love when they get their comeuppance, you'll really like this one. (Even if it's the dad instead!) What a nasty guy he turned out to be. There really is a dark side to Las Vegas. On a positive note; we have a bully who's grown up to be someone you'd be glad to take home to meet your [...]
last summer I spent rereading Andrew Grey's Range Series so it was a happy day when I discovered another grey cowboy book. We meet Blair a man ho works for his verbally and emotionally abusive father. He is sent to Montana to purchase ranch land for his father. Blair lived in Newton Montana while in high school. Little does he know he will have to make a deal withRoyal the brute who use to bully him relentlessly. This man is now a hot cowboy and no longer scary or threatening. It is so sweet whe [...]
I think we can all relate to Blair's experience at school. Most of us will have suffered at the hands of a bully at some point in our life, I know I certainly did. I think Royal's reaction was spot on. I bet most bullies didn't give their 'victim' a second thought or have any idea how badly they were affected. As humans we should all be deeply ashamed of that. As a parent I am doing everything I can to NOT raise bullies. Blair's father is a complete arsehole. It made me angry that Blair put up w [...]
About half way through this book, I considered not finishing. In a nutshell, Blair re-met his high school bully while in town conducting business for his horrible father. Royal, the former bully, changed his ways, he and Blair got together and things progressed as you would expect from there. Blair wasn't a great character. He was whiny and an unbelievable contraction between what was supposed to be strength and I don't know what -- whiny navel gazing? Royal was hard to really believe either bec [...]
Andrew Grey gives us a great story about the effects of Bullying from both sides POV. Royal was a bully; Blair his traumatizes victim from High School. Both have changed from their school days but how they come to terms with this is so a great read. The secondary characters in each of their lives are important and add so much to the twist for this story. Give this Andrew Grey story a try; I liked it.Thanks Andrew Grey & Good Writing
Fantastic What a fantastic book this is! I think we've all had a bit of bullying in each of our lives. Life does get better as adults we know this. But it's so hard to see when your a child and the bully is in front of you. Royal grew up, the bully died but in Blair's mind he was still the bully. It was great to see them come together and work through all of the issues that Blair had. What a great story.
Although I did like the main and side characters in this book, the story overall was just mediocre for me. I find this to be true of most M/M Romances. The dialogue, at times, was somewhat painful. I would have liked a little more Todd in this book. I am assuming that Todd will get his own story. The title does not really make sense to me because that is not where the tension of the story lies. Disappointed.
I really loved both of these MC's. Their story was sexy and full of angst; which is always a plus. There are a few bits of the story that seem to get too repetitive; but overall, the story flows well and holds the reader's interest throughout the book. The author's style doesn't seem to be too deeply detailed so this book reads easily; as his others do. So, while it's a bit simple, the story is sweet and enjoyable to read.
3 / 3.5 stars Not my favourite Andrew Grey book but I did enjoy it. It's theme being bullying and redemption and the other side of the story. It would of been nice to get Royal's POV. I got frustrated with Blair a couple of times too. It gave me exactly what I needed though which was a big hug and a cuddle of a read just when needed it.
