I was tickled pink, when I picked up this book28 % into this book, I thought is was going to be a little to crowded. As the storyline progressed I must say, I was totally into this storyline! I really wanted to get to know these MC's Leeland (Lee) & Harrison on (Harry) as well as supporting characters(Friends) mainly Nan, a pure sweetheart. Scotty did not disappoint. I enjoyed this story as it played out. What I enjoyed were very strong points1)Marriage2)Devotion3)Love4)Friendship5)Commitment [...]
“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.” ― Sam Keen, To Love and Be LovedThis is basically a reunion story, with enough angst, drama, and sarcasm to keep me in suspense about the outcome. The main characters are both as flawed as they come, and if you’re looking for a traditional romance, this is not it. Instead, Scotty Cade presents a cast of characters who would be at home in any soap opera, and gives Lee and Harry a secon [...]
3.5 stars. This was a very fast moving story, but I really liked it.
I do not even want to waste words to describe how bad this book was.Nice cover though.
2.5 Stars My review here.
3.5 starsOK,first of all, this is not your typical romance. the blurb, you expect some emotional reunion, surely some groveling from Harry ('cause after all he hurt Lee,and pretty bad too),some reluctance on Lee's side ('cause he can't give in that easily, right?),them making it work, and HEA of course. Well, stop right there because you won't be getting thiswhat you will get is two men who still love each other - one who is deeply sorry for the past and who carries huge amount of guilt, and the other [...]
Review can be read at It's About The Book Lee Jeffers just recieved an invitation to a wedding for his close friends, Sara-Grace and Derek. He knows immediately that he’s going to attend, but there is one thing stopping him from getting too excited. The fact that he will have to once again face his ex, Harry.Harry Rhinehart has always known what a huge mistake he made all those years ago. He truly loved Lee, but was denying who he was, and thought he was making the right choice at the time. No [...]
ThreeandHalfStarsI didn’t realize this wasn’t a full length book when I started reading it. I was getting into the story, the characters seemed like people I could actually be friends with in real life too. I love when books deal with men and them never getting over their first love, it just seems so sweet to me. Lee never got over Harry and over the years they have been forced together for a few special occasions with their group of friends. This time is no different, so we think. I was rea [...]
Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance 3.75stars While I can't say that I fell in love with either Harry or Lee, I did enjoy following their situation. The resolution was a little quick, but not unexpectedly so. Most of the story is focused on Lee's pain and Harry's guilt. Once they both let that go, they are in love and ready to ride off in the sunset. Some people will not appreciate the pace of this story. It didn't bother me because it fit with the style of the rest of the story. For Complete review [...]
I'm a bit disappointed because what seem at first a big story then finished too soon and maybe in naive way. Maybe because I'm not the forgive and forget type , not immediately anyway, but for me, Lee made it too easy for Harry and then the last chapter is already a epilog. Though I have very appreciated the sentiment of loyalty and true commit in the marriage put in every book by Mr Cade
Wow, the jokes between friends to show comraderie are MEAN. This didn't work for me. Admittedly, this author and I often don't fit, but this time it was bad. Meanness aside, the scenario and how it played out were crazy. Last complaint: in what universe would a bride change her rehearsal dinner to celebrate someone else? logistics alone would make this ludicrous. why do it in a novel?
A bit too rushed and too forgiving
Sorry I normal love this guy's books but I couldn't with this one.
Sweet short story about second chances.
