4.5 rounded up. (Full disclosure: I edited this story, but I liked it, too, so! xD)Okay, so, I'm a pretty picky rater with stories at times, but I just so enjoyed this (and Eon was great to work with too, so that helped!)If you're looking for a super sweet romance with lots of action, this isn't the story for you. This story is more about adventure and action with an excellent backdrop into a creative little world that Eon so wonderfully created. It took me places, and for that, I have to give it [...]
This felt to short, and some parts of the story went to quickly. Like Kaythan leaving with Harkin just after meeting him. And how everyone just believed Harkin when he came to Aviar, and sent a prince of into the unknown on the word of a stranger. The relationship between Harkin and Kaythan went too quickly from first attraction to love, and the fact that it happened off page didn't improve my opinion of the story.
Despite not being very long, I'd class this as epic fantasy - quests and magic and swords and all that.Which is not really my thing - hence 2 stars. This is well written though, with a good plot. If you like fantasy, you'll probably love this.
This is another of the event's stories that needed more length in order to fulfil its potential. Far too short for the epic-style plot.
Great YA story set in a fascinating world. I loved the characters and the setting, and would love to see more of them.
I'm actually at a kind of a loss how I feel about this story. In the beginning I thought I'm thrown into Avatar world with a bit Lord of the Rings and then the steampunkt element made it's appearance. Somewhere I most definitely also must have over read the connection between Aviar world and the dark counterpart. But this might be just my problem,While world building was intriguingI find myself with a big pile of questions about sorcerers at all, the background of the bad boy, what's the deal wi [...]
Offered for FREE from the M/M Romance Group's Love's Landscapes event. Thank you too all the amazing authors who participated!
Maybe it was just too late to be reading this. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. But when every single line in the narrative and dialogue felt like exposition and I still had no idea who's who or what's what, I couldn't continue. Maybe I'll try again later.
Great read! LOVE the world building and the wonderful imagination!Thank You

Review to come
This was a fascinating world filled with fun characters. Quite a lot of fun.
This story just didn't hold my interest. Couldn't connect with the characters.

Not for me but had it been a cartoon, a kid's show or book, I bet a whole lot a kids would enjoy it -minus the sex part, non-graphic as it was.
I thought the world building was unique and interesting and I enjoyed the imagery in this one!
2.5 stars. Not really the kind of story I like to read.
I was a good read. I like Kaythan and Harkin. I love how everyone knows Harkin as a troublemaker.
